Internship document submission deadline: MAY 22, 2026
Earliest date you can start your internship: JUNE 23, 2026
• If the company where you will be doing your internship requests a document stating that your internship is mandatory by our university, or a document stating that your insurance will be covered by our university during your internship, you must fill out
this form completely. The documents will be sent to your email address.
• Students who have arranged an internship must complete
this form completely along with the "Company Approval Document" approved by the company.
• Please send all your questions regarding the internship to
mskucengstaj@gmail.com. Questions sent to other email addresses
will not be answered.
Important Information About Summer Internships
• The internship code should be
CENG 3009 for the first internship and
CENG 4013 for the second internship. These codes must be written correctly on the internship documents.
• It is student’s responsibility to find an internship institution.
• Internships can be done online or face-to-face.
• Internship institution should employ
at least 1 computer engineer.
• Internship institution can be a public or private institution.
• Minimum internship time is 20 work-days.
• Calculating the internship days: If the Internship institution is a public institution from Monday thru Friday there are 5 work-days per week. If the Internship institution is a private institution from Monday thru Saturday there are 6 work-days per week.
• National holiday days and sick days during the internship will not be counted towards the internship time.
• Students cannot do internship during the times when the university is actively open including the make-up exam week.

Both internships can be done during one summer break with the condition of
total minimum 40 work-days for both internships.
•
Both internships can be done in the same institution with the condition of each internship will be done
in different departments or on different topics.
• For internships in a foreign country, the same steps are required as well, except that there are 5 work-days in a week from Monday thru Friday.
• After finding an Internship institution, the form
“Company Approval”, which is available at the website, should be filled thoroughly.
• A
separate "Company Approval" form must be submitted
for each internship.
• For foreign students,
“Müstehaklık Belgesi” is not required.
• After the completion of the internship “
Internship Report” document must be written in detail. The template and an example report are available at the website.
• The internship report must be written in
English; otherwise, the report will not be considered.
• The completed internship report
must be signed by the company representative/mentor. Reports without a signature will not be considered.
• Internship reports must not be handwritten; reports written in this manner will not be considered.
• The work and tasks performed during the internship should be described in detail in the internship report. The code written must be included at the end of the internship report, either as a GitHub link or as a screenshot. If the company cannot share the code due to confidentiality or other reasons, you must send a document confirming this, approved by the company, to
mskucengstaj@gmail.com.
• Completed internship reports must be submitted to the form that will be added to the website next fall semester. Reports submitted in person will not be considered.
• The
"Internship Evaluation Form" must be completed by your mentor at the internship institution and sent directly to
mskucengstaj@gmail.com. The form is available on the website. Forms submitted in sealed envelopes will not be considered.
• A
separate "Internship Report" must be submitted
for each internship.
• A
separate “Internship Evaluation Form” must be submitted
for each internship.
• The deadline for submitting internship reports and internship evaluation forms is due the 5th week of the following Fall Semester. Reports must be submitted to the given forms by 23:59 on Friday of the 5th week.
• The following Fall semester, registration for related Summer Practice courses (CENG 3009, CENG 4013) should be done by the student who completed their internship in the summer break.
• Internship grades will be available on OBS by the end of the following Fall Semester as graded “Pass” (Geçti) or “Fail” (Kaldı).
