Information about Summer Internship for Foreign Students

2. Necessary information and documents are available at the website. 
3. All questions regarding the internship should be asked to mskucengstaj@gmail.com. Questions asked through different email addresses will not be answered.
4. It is student’s responsibility to find an internship institution.
5. Internships can be done online or face-to-face.
6. Internship institution should employ at least 1 computer engineer.
7. Internship institution can be a public or private institution.
8. Minimum internship time is 20 work-days.
9. Calculating the internship days: If the Internship institution is a public institution from Monday thru Friday there are 5 work-days per week. If the Internship institution is a private institution from Monday thru Saturday there are 6 work-days per week.
10. National holiday days and sick days during the internship will not be counted towards the internship time.
11. Students cannot do internship during the times when the university is actively open including the make-up exam week.
12. Internships dates must be between the dates that are announced on the website.
13. Both internships can be done during one summer break with the condition of total minimum 40 work-days for both internships.
14. Both internships can be done in the same institution with the condition of each internship will be done in different departments or on different topics.
15. After finding an Internship institution, the document “Firma Onay Belgesi”, which is available at the website, should be filled thoroughly.
16. For foreign students, “Müstehaklık Belgesi” is not required.
17. If Internship institution requires a document that states the internship is mandatory by your program, the corresponding document is available at the website named “Staj Zorunluluk Yazısı”.
18. For internships in a foreign country, the same steps are required as well, except that there are 5 work-days in a week from Monday thru Friday.
19. Completed Firma Onay Belgesi should be sent to mskucengstaj@gmail.com email address.
20. After the completion of the internship “Staj Raporu” document must be written in detail, and programming code should be included at the end of the report as an attachment. The outline and an example of Staj Raporu is available at the website.
21. The completed Staj Raporu must be sent to mskucengstaj@gmail.com email address. Staj Raporu should be sent only and only via email. Any other delivery method will not be accepted.
22. Your mentor at the internship institution must fill out “Staj Değerlendirme Formu”, and it must be delivered in a sealed envelop or must be sent directly to mskucengstaj@gmail.com by your mentor. The document “Staj Değerlendirme Formu” is available at the website.
23. The deadline for returning the internship documents are due the 5th week of the following Fall Semester. The Friday of the 5th week by 23:59 is the latest time for internship documents (both staj raporu and staj değerlendirme formu) to be submitted.
24. The following Fall semester, registration for related Summer Practice courses (CENG 3009, CENG 4013) should be done by the student who completed their internship in the summer break.
25. Internship grades will be available on OBS by the end of the following Fall Semester as graded “Pass” (Geçti) or “Fail” (Kaldı).
